a new discovery…

well, at least for me.

here’s the story: while @ CE, Janet Hopkins used a flexible mirror as a page in her journal album class. one of the other girls pulled up the protective layer from the wrong side of the mirror. BUT, it was the coooolest effect! so, my mind started churning… it looked like acrylic with silver leafing on one side.

so, i went to M’s yesterday! here’s a lo with silver leafing on the backside of a piece of acrylic. i used my star big-kick die to cut out the stars! it felt great using something new with something old. that’s a cool technique!

tflooking: the pic is of my baby brother when he was about three – he’s now 31! this was outside OK City in a small town called Myers.

products used for “pals”: cardstock: clubscrap, ppaper: reminisce, luxe, and little yellow bicycle, chipboard: k & co, scenic route, & bazzil, acrylic: grafix, silver leafing: mona lisa, adhesive: mona lisa, diamond glaze & kokuyo, paint: making memories, cardstock sticker: jenni bowlin, rub-on: glitz, ink: tsukineko, punch: stampin’ up!, & die cut arrow: little yellow bicycle

oh, i just found out that i’m being published, again! yeah for me! here’s a link to the september issue: http://scrapbooking.com/cgi-bin/Phase_2/cover.pl
